Handling & Care

  • Handling: always lift sculptures and vessels by their most substantial part - the base or main body. Never lift by “limbs”, ears, floral or any other sensible details, spouts and similar.

  • Surface protection: while many pieces are high-fired for durability, we still recommend placing a protective coaster or felt pad beneath vessels if they are placed on delicate antique, wooden or any other sensitive surfaces, in order to prevent moisture rings or scratches.

  • The Gentle Touch: for textured pieces use a clean, soft-bristled brush or compressed air to whisk away dust.

  • Avoid Chemicals: do not use abrasive sponges or household chemical cleaners. If deep cleaning is required, use only a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water.

  • Water Safety: for vitrified pieces used as vases, we still recommend using a glass insert to maintain the interior and exterior ceramic finish over long time.

  • Thermal stability: avoid rapid temperature fluctuations and thermal shocks.

  • Other: avoid putting a hand-made work in to microwave oven or any kind of washing machine.

Shipping & Global Delivery

  • Custom packing: pieces normally are “floated” within a dual-layer system of archival-grade cushioning and in most cases reinforced outer crating to neutralize vibration and impact.

  • Sustainability: we prioritize recyclable and biodegradable packing materials were possible, without compromising the safety of the ceramic piece.

  • Global Reach: we offer insured, tracked shipping to collectors almost worldwide. Please DM via the Contact Form, if shipping is required outside the Europe, prior to the checking out.

  • Timeline: please allow at least 5 business days for the preparation of your artifact’s custom packing and the final signing of the Certificate of Authenticity.

Custom & Duties

For international orders, please note that any local import duties or taxes are the responsibility of the collector.

Our Guarantee

In the rare event that an artifact is damaged during the journey, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic documentation so we can initiate the insurance claim and discuss a resolution.

THE CERTICICATE OF AUTHENTICITY (COA)

Every artifact created in the Lab is unique. To honour the investment of the collector and the integrity of the work, each piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

What the Certificate Represents

  • Provenance: a verified record of the piece’s origin within Sniege’s “SnowLab”

  • Technical Specifications: a detailed account of the materials, firing temperatures and firing atmosphere (e.g., oxidation, reduction)

  • Signature: each document is hand-signed and dated

  • Uniqueness Guarantee: a formal statement that the work is a one-of-a-kind creation and will never be replicated or cast into a series

Preserving the Document

We recommend keeping your Certificate of Authenticity in a safe dry place separate from the work. This document could be used for possible future valuations, insurance purposes, or should the piece ever change its owners’ hands.

For our global audience, the COA is included inside the parcel, protected in a moisture-proof sleeve in order to reach you safely.
