The THEATRE OF MATTER now is showing “DE PRIMA MATERIA"

The stage here is not a wooden floor, and actors are not flesh and bone.

In this Theatre drama belongs to the Matter.

Every performance is a metamorphosis,

and every ending is the Prima Materia for the next cycle.

As the Theatre curtains falls, the heat in the Lab’s kiln is already rising for the next act.

The Matter is always in motion

PLAYBILL

  • The performance begins with the struggle of self-creation, and heavy souls emerging from the clay and the alchemical heat. These works explore the heavy ego of the “First Matter” - studies of birth (origo), ancient archetypes, symbols, and the psychological gravity required to pull form out of chaos. It is a study of the raw materials of our existence, both biological and spiritual.

Curated by Zosimos of Panopolis, Umberto Eco & Alan Turing

  • This act explores the “twilight zone” where spirits reside in the unseen and the unspoken. These works are characterized by a sense of melancholy, mystery and hidden knowledge. It is a stage for the spirits of the subconscious - the whispers that exist in the shadows of our inner world.

Curated by Carl Jung, David Lynch & Edgar Allan Poe

  • The heavy ego and shadows begins to soften and bloom into something beautiful. The act is defined by fluidity, the emergence of different life forms from the mineral and spiritual world, and the quiet celebration of growth and consciousness.

    Curated by Publius Ovidius Naso

  • And finally, the ancient medium of clay meets the rhythm of the modern street. This act brings the alchemical journey into the present day, exploring, how sacred symbols survive within noise of the contemporary world. These works act as bridges between the timeless and the temporary. The focus on the modernity and sacred mundane.

Curated by Jurga Ivanauskaite & David Bovie
