A BIT OF ALCHEMICAL PROCESS: NEW SURFACE DECORATION TESTS

In ceramics, sometimes the smallest test lead to the biggest change. We, visual creators, are all obsessed about experiments with the raw materials, shapes and textures, as well as our palette forming. And every elements aligning brings much of joy to us. Here are results of my recent successful test firings. Excited to translate these results onto larger forms soon, as they feel so alchemical and dramatic:) As for base, I used Amaco HF white glaze, and Throwing Shapes Studio’ glaze “Valentine”, but I am pretty sure that any basic glaze, commercial or custom made, could give vibrant, unexpected and bold results.
